Pete Muller - The Other Side (Official Music Video)
Songwriter Pete Muller has shared a new video for his song “The Other Side,” the latest single from his upcoming record Spaces.
“‘The Other Side’ is a highlight of our live set, and we usually get a lot of people singing along with us on the chorus,” writes Muller. “The song is about doing everything you can to get a grumpy partner back to a better frame of mind, and the benefits that might ensue to both of you from doing that. ‘Something good is waiting on the other side!’”
Muller writes, “Making the video with Angela Kohler (director), Dana Wilson (choreographer), and our troupe of nine talented dancers was a really joyful experience, as I think people will be able to tell when they watch it.”
Spaces will be released on Two Truths Records & Santa Barbara Records on May 20th and is currently available for pre-save here.

Holly Humberstone releases her blistering new single “Sleep Tight,” via Darkroom/Interscope/Polydor Records. Co-written with the 1975’s Matty Healy and longtime collaborator Rob Milton, the BRITs Rising Star wrote about how to navigate the blurred lines between friendship and romance and the risk that comes with that. “Sleep Tight” is the singer-songwriter’s second collaboration with Healy, following "Please Don’t Leave Just Yet," taken from her critically acclaimed second EP The Walls Are Way Too Thin.

April 29, 2022: Today, drummer, vocalist, and composer Bryan Carter released his rendition of the Burt Bacharach & Carol Beyer Seger-penned composition “Making Love.” The song is the third single from Carter’s upcoming LP I Believe, due out June 2022 via La Reserve Records.
With fearless storytelling and breathtaking musicality, “Making Love” is the next chapter in Carter’s semi-autobiographical, coming out and coming of age LP I Believe. It is hard to wrap your mind around just how many roles Carter is playing. He is singing. He is drumming. He is orchestrating for a full band, complete with a gorgeous, ten-piece string section. And all of it is in service of his storytelling. Gender roles and fashion have been going simultaneously for a long time. At an early age, children are taught what is socially acceptable attire for them according to their gender. It has long been that boys wear the color, “blue,” wear pants and minimal jewelry, whereas girls wear the color, “pink,” wear dresses, and plenty of jewelry. Over the years it has been more exceptionable for fashion to change these norms of what boys and girls wear, making fashion for everyone who wants to be their true self.
In the world of fashion we see, models can be gender less and nonconforming on the runway, in print and on TV. Fashion has long effects social status, trends, and how clothes are even applicable to society. This change in the fashion industry and how we look at gender and fashion is long overdue. The terms of yesterday “cross-dress.” in today’s world are getting blurrier and blurrier. Increased people are mixing and matching fashion to their identity and creative style. Even designers are mixing and matching in their designs and highlighting these designs on the runway.
Companies like FashionBar LLC. and its CEO Tony Long who twice a year dose Fashion Week, is changing how we look at fashion and models on the runway. Long is a firm believer in Diversity and Equality for all, which is evident in his fashion shows during Fashion Week. Long also partners with Howard Brown Health during Fashion Week to highlight trans and nonconforming models by hosting a fashion show. The Trans Media Fashion Show is a celebration of beautiful Transgender- Nonconforming models walking the runway during Fashion Week. The fashion show is a way to bring attention and acceptance to a community often misunderstood and under recognized. Long and Howard Brown Health give a voice to a community deserving of social integration and acceptance.

MUNA - Kind Of Girl (Official Video)
Los Angeles-based trio MUNA - composed of Katie Gavin (she/they), Naomi McPherson (they/them), and Josette Maskin (she/they) have today released new single “Kind of Girl” along with a Taylor James-directed video.
Katie Gavin of MUNA tells us "This song is the album’s country moment, and in some ways we feel it is the heart of the record. This song explores the power of language and the words we use to describe who we are and who we want to be. Even though it is a happy, hopeful song, I shed the most tears of the record in the vocal booth recording this chorus. I think there’s something very vulnerable about plainly expressing my desire to be kinder to myself and comfortable receiving love (and my desire to garden even though I kill everything I plant).”

Gavin continues “The video for this song highlights another layer of meaning that we feel the song holds, which is that we as queer people are particularly vulnerable when we are sharing how we identify and how we would like to be perceived. We wanted to play with the gendered nature of this song because we all three have different relationships to girlhood (and Naomi is non-binary, so not a girl at all!). It was a gift to be able to king for this video in a way that felt earnest and comfortable and hot. The experience brought home the fact that it’s not enough for queer and trans people to be clear about who we are - we also need a community around us that hears us, believes us, honors us, and supports us. We’re very proud of what we made and grateful to everyone who was a part of it. We hope the bigots absolutely hate it. “
MUNA will release their upcoming self-titled album out June 24th via Saddest Factory Records. MUNA is a career defining record, from a band who continue to push their own artistic boundaries, who aren't afraid to be vulnerable and are fiercely honest in all aspects of their craft. MUNA might just be their masterpiece.
