Indigenous People Month is November in the USA. The National Congress of American Indian writes: “The month is a time to celebrate rich and diverse cultures, traditions, and histories and to acknowledge the important contributions of Native people. Heritage Month is also an opportune time to educate the general public about tribes, to raise a general awareness about the unique challenges Native people have faced both historically and in the present, and the ways in which tribal citizens have worked to conquer these challenges.”
The Music Film Fashion Blog will be honoring Indigenous People throughout the month of November. We will mostly focus on North America and even more so on the Indigenous People of the US. There are many more wonderful music artists we did not feature on Indigenous Day such as Artist, Naturalist and Activist Joe Reilly from Michigan. We are also looking at doing a segment on Indigenous fashion and it influence fashion today.
